About UPEPO

The University of the Philippines Extension Program in Olongapo (UPEPO) was established in response to the Olongapo City Government's request for quality education. The Memorandum of Agreement between Olongapo City and UP was signed in 1984, thereby signaling the start of the program that year.

GRADUATE PROGRAM

UPEPO offers the Master of Management (MM) program with specializations in business management, educational management, and public management.

This program aims to train qualified students for a professional career in the management of private and public enterprises. It primarily seeks to develop a manager's special competence in his particular field of endeavor and the ability to relate his functional activities with top management objectives.

In addition to University rules and regulations governing graduate programs, the following apply to the Master of Management program.

Additional Requirement

If a student fails to get the required general weighted average of 2.0, he may take two additional courses as approved by the Dean provided he does not repeat a course he has already taken. The grades in all subjects taken shall be included, however, in computing the general weighted average. The inability of a student to obtain a general weighted average of 2.0 after taking two additional courses shall disqualify him from the program. A student who gets a grade lower than 2.0 in two of his graduate courses shall be disqualified from the program.

FACILITIES

UPEPO was situated inside the Olongapo City National High School since the beginning until SY 1999-2000. It was afterwards relocated inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone through a Memorandum of Agreement between UP and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) signed in October 1999.

The UPEPO buildings can be found just to the right of the SBMA main entrance gate near the Asinan area. There is ample free parking space and all classrooms and the library are air-conditioned.
